I had a different kind of "Wake-up" cal. I am in a different time zone, so I would have been in between surgeries at that hour. We had just done a heart-wrenching surgery in which our prayers were answered with a "no." I am not sure what was going on in the spirit world, but in the OR we were grieving.

Like Monica wrote up above, I love reading blogs of all kinds. I also love the random, top-of-mind rambling ones that tell me quirky stories about interactions with people or what happened while they were at a fast food restaurant.

I enjoy blogs that ask questions or are thought provoking too. Those sort of questions can be fun conversations with people.

I especially enjoy posts that have to do with something someone read in their devotional. Almost every time what the person posted, I needed to read, process and implement into my own life.

I don't like so much the blogs that are ridiculously long winded (even though sometimes I ramble... :) )and where the writer is trying to force an idea on someone, where they right and everyone else is wrong. I pretty much think that people who write like that must not have much else to do with their time. That or they are more talk than anything else.

I also agree with what Heather wrote up above. If you are writing about Jesus, it may just click with someone who needs to read it. We are called to go into the world to preach the good news to all, why not do it with a blog?

I have a blog, but I use it mainly to keep friends and family updated with what I'm doing in my life. It's sorta of a here are the crazy, fun or not so fun things that are happening with me. Sometimes I will write about a random thought or question I have. Occasionally and especially since the great flood here in June, my blog becomes an emotional outlet.

To sum up, I guess I would say blogging for me is enlightening...but mainly just for fun. :)

Well, I enjoy reading the blogs of others, and occasionally commenting on said blogs, but it is not something I enjoy doing myself.

You, Scott, are a lover of Jesus, so I have no concerns about what you would write in the "blogosphere." I will simply reiterate what has previously been said--just keep Jesus in the center of all you do, and go with it.

Pascal once said, "you can look at a picture from too far away and not see anything, or too close. You can think too much and go crazy or not enough." I think blogging is much the same way. You have to find the sweet spot.
